Questo motore di ricerca di istanze Mastodon si basa su un database che viene aggiornato dal nostro crawler ogni notte (CET).

Le istanze sono considerate nuove per 30 giorni dopo che sono state scoperte (se hai già un account sul Fediverso e vuoi ricevere un post al giorno con un sommario delle nuove istanze Mastodon che il nostro crawler scopre quotidianamente, puoi seguire @nmiab@kolektiva.social; in alternativa, puoi anche vederle qui).

Quando un’istanza non risponde ai nostri check quotidiani da più di 30 giorni non viene più considerata nelle statistiche e nelle ricerche e viene controllata solo il primo giorno del mese, invece che quotidianamente, fino a quando eventualmente rispondesse di nuovo, o finché l’ultimo controllo riuscito risalisse a più di un anno fa; in quest’ultimo caso, da quel momento viene controllata solo il primo giorno di ogni anno.

L’“ordinamento casuale” dei risultati varia quotidianamente.

    2. The following types of content will be removed from the public timeline, and may result in account suspension and/or revocation of access to the service:

      1. Racism or advocation of racism.
      2. Sexism or advocation of sexism.
      3. Discrimination against gender or sexual minorities, or advocation thereof.
      4. Xenophobic and/or violent nationalism.
      5. Anti-sex worker perspectives or advocation against sex workers.
      6. Homophobia, biphobia or transphobia. Trans rights are human rights.
      7. Gore and extremely graphic violence, including artistic depictions.
      8. Suicide or self-harm: You may not promote or encourage suicide or self-harm.

      Power dynamics will be taken into account. Punch up, not down.

      2. Conduct promoting the ideology of National Socialism. (Seriously. Absolutely no Nazis.)

    4. Also forbidden:

      1. Impeding other users from using the service, or inciting others to do so.
      2. Degrading the performance of the service, or inciting others to do so.
      3. Collecting data about users of this service without express, written permission. If you want to do research, ask first.
      4. Continuing to engage in conversation with someone that has specifically requested for said engagement to cease and desist may be considered harassment, regardless of platform-specific privacy tools employed.
      5. Aggregating, posting, and/or disseminating a person's demographic, personal, or private data without express permission (informally called doxing or dropping dox) may be considered harassment.
      6. Inciting users to engage another user in continued interaction or discussion after a user has requested for said engagement with that user to cease and desist (informally called brigading or dogpiling) may be considered harassment.

    5. We do things differently here.

      1. Hide politics and religion posts behind a Content Wrapper (CW) so people can choose whether or not to engage with that stuff here.
      2. Consider: Does thinking or talking about this thing make me angry or sad or both? If so, a Content Wrapper is probably a good idea.
      3. Consider: Does everyone really need to see my rant? Maybe limit that post to just your own followers rather than sending it to everyone in the Fediverse.
      4. Cross-posting from other places is discouraged. If you feel you must, cross-posting must be placed behind a Content Wrapper (CW) and clearly labelled as a cross-post.
