Quando un’istanza non risponde ai nostri check quotidiani da più di 30 giorni non viene più considerata nelle statistiche e nelle ricerche e viene controllata solo il primo giorno del mese, invece che quotidianamente, fino a quando eventualmente rispondesse di nuovo, o finché l’ultimo controllo riuscito risalisse a più di un anno fa; in quest’ultimo caso, da quel momento viene controllata solo il primo giorno di ogni anno.

L’“ordinamento casuale” dei risultati varia quotidianamente.

Hello! I know there's other excellent fannish instances out there like fandom.ink and federatedfandom.net, but no one else seems to have set up a glitch-soc instance yet. Glitch-Soc is a bit more experimental with more features in exchange for slightly less stability.

I have set some basic ground rules below, but I encourage everyone to be kind and generous with everyone else. If there are issues, a mod will talk with you first before any other action is taken, but mods reserve the right to take any action they deem necessary.

This is intended to be an adults-only instance. Please do not join if you are not an adult in your country.

An invite or a short application are required to join. If you are applying, please mention that you recognize that this is a fannish instance and maybe mention which fandoms you have been a part of or are participating in.

When I first found Mastodon in early 2022, I loved the idea of instances based on interest or geography or whatever it was. I looked for a Maine-centric instance, but no luck. For the next several months, I used Mastodon on and off, but it wasn't until Elon's purchase was finalized that I dove in more completely. Much to my disappointment, still no instance specific to Maine people. So here we are.

This instance started out as a personal project of mine, mostly to see if I could do it. Now, it's considered a community for people who want a safe, stable place to be social. No BS.

I'm a geek with a ton of free time and an interest in just about all things tech. This instance is a safe and stable community that I run in my free time, and that I intend to keep around for as long as the universe lets me. If you'd like an account here, know that the rules (yes, we have them) are strictly enforced to protect the other accounts on this instance and the wider fediverse. If you do not want an account here and have an account elsewhere, know that the rules are even stricter for you. I prioritize local.

At present, the instance has a character limit of 1000000, and a limit of 4 media attachments per post to conserve space. These will be and have been adjusted as the needs of the userbase change. All other standard Mastodon features, such as polls, are supported. If you are unclear if a feature is supported, or how to use that feature, please contact the instance administration.

  4. Don't troll, don't feed the trolls. Just... don't.
  5. Accounts on this server are manually approved. I will not create you an account because I know you. I may deny your request because I know you.
