This search engine for Mastodon instances is based on a database that gets updated by our crawler every night (CET).

Instances are considered new for 30 days after they are discovered.

When an instance has not responded to our daily checks for more than 30 days it is no longer considered in statistics and searches and it gets checked only on the first of the month, rather than daily, until it possibly responds again, or until its last succesful check is one year old; in this latter case, from that moment it gets checked only on the first day of each year.

“Random ordering” of results varies daily.

Default search criteria reflect our fondness for a decentralized and egalitarian Fediverse and our attempt to exclude instances accepting fascist, racist, sexist, ableist, sovereignist, pro-nuclear and pedopornographic contents by marking them as noxious.

18+ queer, furry and nerd friendly general interest instance. Quieter and less chaotic than big instances, with relaxed moderation policies. Perfect for folk who want a peaceful corner to themselves.
Long description
Friendly neighborhood cat here to give you some information on the vibe of this instance if you were interested on signing up. We're a general instance full of predominantly queer, nerdy, and furry folk. This place is smaller than similar instances, and thus less chaotic. If you're someone who prefers a quiet corner, you'll find one here. Users here have a wide variety of interests, we have no niche. Other instances may have a code of conduct along with a moderation staff to enforce the rules of the community. I've decided not to run this instance that way. On this instance, it's run according to how I want it to run. This doesn't mean it's an unfriendly place or that I rule with an iron fist, it just means that I'm the sole staff person, and that will always be the case. And for rules, they're extremely loose because I like giving people tools to curate their own feeds as opposed to trying to manage everyone's feeds for them. That being said, I'll give you a quick idea of what sort of things I'm looking to keep off the local and federated feeds here so you can know in advance if you'll fit in or not. - No Nazis, or really any pro fascist, nationalistic hate rhetoric that exists out there - We're queer friendly here, so any bigots can find themselves the door out of here - You would think I could just put, "no racism" here, but a lot of people haven't figured out how to do that yet so I need to say a bit more about it. I'm a white guy, and for some that's an understandable dealbreaker (no hard feelings), but for others I want to stress that I'm gonna do whatever I can to make sure you're comfortable here within reason. If an instance is harassing you repeatedly, they're gone if you let me know. My bullshit capacity is at a all time low. If an instance doesn't want to action their users for their racist bullshit, then I'm not gonna host them here. If it's coming from one of the users here, they're gone. I'm no nonsense and not here to play games or debate those sort of folks. If it bugs you, it'll probably bug me and I'm gonna take care of it regardless of consequences. I don't give a shit about fediverse relationships. - That being said, if you're someone who tends to get into a lot of petty internet spats, and want someone to look out for you on the home instance, you might want to keep looking. I'm not gonna tolerate any user harassing users of different instances or repeatedly getting into fights with people. I have no issues kicking you out if I'm getting a lot of reports about your behavior. If you're the one being harassed however, and it's clearly evident, I will take action for you in that case. - I have a pretty lax policy when it comes to content warnings. I don't strictly enforce users to use them, but I do encourage people to use them when posting anything that could be potentially triggering for someone. I advocate users using their judgement here, and expect people to use CWs appropriately. I will not force people to use them. I am not omnipresent and don't particularly wish to try to be, so if you see a user not tagging something that is triggering you, I would ask that you just mute them. - Speaking of muting people, I really do stress the features given to you by the platform. Instead of posting something you know will start an argument with someone, just block them instead. An entire instance of shitposters is bugging you? Block the whole instance on your own instead of asking me to defederate with them or starting shit with them. I'm not here to manage your feeds when people are annoying or tasteless. - Really, just use common sense. If you act like an adult and treat other people like adults, you'll have no issues here. This instance uses Mutant Standard emoji, which are licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License.

2019年4月に終了したGoogle+の移住先の一つとして重度のG+erが立てた日本人G+er向きのMastodonサーバです。あくまでMastodonをベースとしているのでG+ほどの性能機能はありませんので予めご了承ください。

【運営について】

管理人である、あきょぜ (@akyoz) が個人で行っております。
運営費も私財から出ておりますが、かなりきつくならない限りは寄付等も受け取らない予定です。
なお、モデレーター（不適切コンテンツへの対応者）はいつでも募集中です。

【セキュリティについて】

本サーバではWebサーバ、DBサーバ、Storageサーバ間の通信は全て暗号化および接続制限を設けており、WebサーバはCDN/WAFサービスによりもう一段階の暗号化を行う環境を構築する等セキュリティとプライバシーに配慮した設計となっておりますが、それでも心配な場合は利用をご遠慮ください。

また、ユーザ情報はローカルに保持せず、安全かつ高性能なGCPのマネージドサービスを使用、加えてパスワードはハッシュ化を実施した上で保管しておりますが、メールアドレス情報だけはユーザ認証のため平文で保管しています。そのため、登録されるメールアドレスはご注意ください
アカウント乗っ取り等の対策として、二段階認証を設けておりますので是非ご利用ください。

【プライバシーについて】

Cookieの取得および、サービス向上のため利用者からのアクセス解析(GoogleAnalytics)を行っています。

当サーバのCDNとして使用している『Cloudflare』の児童ポルノ検知サービスである『CSAM 検出ツール』を採用しています。このツールは当サーバおよび、外部のサーバにて、米国が定める児童性的虐待コンテンツ (CSAM)が受信されたことを検知するもので、当サーバに該当のコンテンツがキャッシュされた場合に早期に削除することを目的としています。
なお、このCSAMとは実際の被害者がでている児童ポルノの画像データを対象とするデータベースであり、いわゆる二次元を対象とする非実在青少年のポルノ作品を対象とするものではありません。

本ツールによって直ちにアップロード者へ逮捕等されるものではありませんが、悪質な場合は全米行方不明・被搾取児童センター (NCMEC) 経由で、データをアップロードした人に対して公権力による調査等が行われる可能性があります。

  2. 明らかにネタの域を超える明確な攻撃行為はしないでください（罵詈雑言合戦ぐらいは大目に見ます）。悪質な場合は管理人の判断でサイレンス処理をいたします。
  3. 何度注意されてもわからない人は利用しないでください。基本は注意、警告、退場の3アウト制です。 ただし、明らかに故意な危険球と判断されるようなものについては一発退場処分とし、永久凍結処理します。

Mathstodon.xyz is a Mastodon instance for people who love maths.

This instance is for people who love maths and we hope there’ll be lots of maths chat, but any topic of conversation following the code of conduct and the principle of getting along together is OK.

How to use LaTeX

You can use LaTeX in toots here! Use \( and \) for inline, and \[ and \] for display mode.

LaTeX is only rendered in the web interface, and not on all Mastodon instances. If the layout of your LaTeX code isn't too complicated, you can replace it with unicode characters by clicking the preview rendering below the post entry area before writing the closing delimiter.

Sign-ups currently require admin approval, unless you have an invite link from an existing user.

Please include a short reason for joining, or just link to an existing social media account. (Funny messages encouraged, but not required!)

Most approvals will take a few hours, but if your account is still pending, feel free to reach out to @Crashdoom on Telegram.

If your sign-up is rejected, your join reason may have looked like a bot / AI response, but this does not preclude you from signing up again.

Network Policy

We are part of pawb.social network. Any user or instance found to violate our content policies will be suspended from all instances within the pawb.social network.

Federation Policy

We are an open-first instance, however in cases where an instance had been identified as being, indifferent to, permissive of, or actively encouraging abusive conduct, that instance will be blocked from federation.

User Conduct Policy

In the hopefully unlikely event that a user breaks the rules, the offending content will be removed and the user suspended. For harassment, discrimination, or illegal activity, the user's account will be terminated.

User Generated Content

We ask that all profile content (avatar, header, display name, bio, etc.) are completely safe, without any explicit or suggestive content.

Illegal content, or content depicting hate symbolism or iconography, will be removed and result in termination of the offending user.

Report System

Please report posts that make you feel uncomfortable, break the rules, or you otherwise think should be brought to our attention. You will never be penalized for using the report system in good faith.
