This search engine for Mastodon instances is based on a database that gets updated by our crawler every night (CET).

Instances are considered new for 30 days after they are discovered.

When an instance has not responded to our daily checks for more than 30 days it is no longer considered in statistics and searches and it gets checked only on the first of the month, rather than daily, until it possibly responds again, or until its last succesful check is one year old; in this latter case, from that moment it gets checked only on the first day of each year.

“Random ordering” of results varies daily.

Default search criteria reflect our fondness for a decentralized and egalitarian Fediverse and our attempt to exclude instances accepting fascist, racist, sexist, ableist, sovereignist, pro-nuclear and pedopornographic contents by marking them as noxious.

Welcome to mograph.social

The main purpose of this server is to connect people from the broad motion design community, including VFX artist, animators (more in general designers and artists that are interested in moving images) and to contribute to the Fediverse with interesting content. It is also a place to offer to people in these fields an open space for discussion outside the toxic boxes of mainstream social media.

Keep always in mind that the aim of our server is community building and sharing of ideas and interests in respect of each others.

If you're a new member please fill in your profile with the relevant information as soon as you can so we know who we're talking to, and add a profile picture. Also it is recommended to make an #introduction post with the appropriate hashtag to tell a bit about yourself and your interests.

Crossposting

Crossposting from other networks like Twitter is allowed but if done regularly the posts should be marked as unlisted. Most importantly the account owner should be active in the conversation on our Mastodon server as well.

If you leave your account alone while crossposting it could be silenced.

Long threads

If you plan to post a long thread please post all the messages after the first one as unlisted so you don't spam the public timelines. Otherwise your account could be silenced.

Image descriptions

Please add an image description for any picture or video you upload so that people on a screen reader can follow along too.

Advertising and self-promotion

Mograph.social aims at community building and not at advertising. This space is paid by the community for the community via donations and we can't accept people using it to do their free advertising campaigns. It's considered self-promotion: showcasing your art, your portfolio and skills, sharing your video tutorials, podcasts, offering/looking for work. If you're here to make a daily advertising campaign of your brand/products with the broadcasting of posts (or threads of posts) into the void, it's not going to work. Explicit advertising posts with links to direct products/services for sale will be deleted and your account might get silenced.

Hello! I know there's other excellent fannish instances out there like fandom.ink and federatedfandom.net, but no one else seems to have set up a glitch-soc instance yet. Glitch-Soc is a bit more experimental with more features in exchange for slightly less stability.

I have set some basic ground rules below, but I encourage everyone to be kind and generous with everyone else. If there are issues, a mod will talk with you first before any other action is taken, but mods reserve the right to take any action they deem necessary.

This is intended to be an adults-only instance. Please do not join if you are not an adult in your country.

An invite or a short application are required to join. If you are applying, please mention that you recognize that this is a fannish instance and maybe mention which fandoms you have been a part of or are participating in.

Vtuber House is a Mastodon instance whose topic is vtubers--content creators who use a digital avatar to represent themselves in their work! We're open to all varieties: 2D, 3D, PNG, pre-debut; streamers on Twitch, YouTube, or elsewhere; lewd or all-ages; artists, coders, and riggers who support the vtuber space; even vtuber fans who aren't content creators themselves. This instance is LGBTQIA+ friendly, celebrating vtubing as a hobby that helps people express themselves with an uncommon degree of freedom!

Mastodon is a microblogging platform that's federated, meaning no one corporation or billionaire controls or owns the data throughout the network, and users on many different servers can communicate with one another.

Vtuber House aims to be a cozy, hobbyist space. This is and will not be a high-population instance, and we silence some of the biggest, noisiest federated servers. This server was originally intended as a place for Catholic layfolk who had formed real relationships on other social media to have a home on Mastodon, however we are open to any and all Catholic, Catholic-adjacent, Catholic-interested, or none-of-the-above members.

Sister server to @religious.social which specifically hosts clergy, religious, and seminarians.
