This search engine for Mastodon instances is based on a database that gets updated by our crawler every night (CET).

Instances are considered new for 30 days after they are discovered.

When an instance has not responded to our daily checks for more than 30 days it is no longer considered in statistics and searches and it gets checked only on the first of the month, rather than daily, until it possibly responds again, or until its last succesful check is one year old; in this latter case, from that moment it gets checked only on the first day of each year.

“Random ordering” of results varies daily.

Default search criteria reflect our fondness for a decentralized and egalitarian Fediverse and our attempt to exclude instances accepting fascist, racist, sexist, ableist, sovereignist, pro-nuclear and pedopornographic contents by marking them as noxious.

Welcome to Bara Gallery!

We are an #NSFW 18+ art instance focused on Bara art / Gei Komi (Gay Comics) for both artists and fans. ‘Bara’ comes from a Japanese word for gay, erotic art featuring masculine men. It is primarily drawn by men for men and is generally pornographic. We are trans and furry inclusive. Monster fuckers are welcome too.

Since our instance is explicitly NSFW all user content will be marked sensitive.

We are an adults only instance, and as such we typically do not restrict federation with other instances. Exceptions may be made in certain situations to:

  • Prevent spam and ads.
  • Prevent or mitigate incoming harassment.

    • This includes instances that advocate for far-right and reactionary politics or encourage hate speech.

  • Reject corporate entryism into the fediverse, AI training, data collection, etc.

    • Meta’s threads.net is blocked.


Any moderation of other instances as described above will be publicly posted.

Community Guidelines

Fediverse is a pretty laid back, respectful place. Let’s keep it that way.

  • Add appropriate tags for all image posts so that other users can find or filter content as they like.

    • Examples include: #NSFW #CharacterName #ArtistName #Franchise #Bara #Furry #SizeDifference #AgeGap #HumanXFurry #Tentacle #Somnophilia

  • Add alt text to images to help people who rely on screen-readers. Many are blind so I’m sure they would appreciate it if you got flavorful with your descriptions 😘
  • Assume the best in others and treat each other with respect in all interactions.

    • If they’re being outright disrespectful or hateful you can tell them to fuck off, just report and block them if they don’t.

  • If you dislike someone’s art or comments, or they’re trolling, use your mute or block functions first. If they circumvent your mute/block report them to the mod team.
  • If someone is not replying to you, do not take it personally and move on.
  • Report posts that break the rules. We’re pretty lax so this should be rare.

Here are the basics to get you started:

  • You can access bara.gallery either through your browser or one of several free, open source apps.
  • Understand the different timelines
  • Create filters and mute/block users or instances to prevent yourself from seeing content you dislike in your timelines.
  • Content warnings are added with a button in the post editor.
  • If you want posts to be toggled visible by default, go to your account preferences, appearance settings, and under Sensitive Content select ‘Always show media’. You can additionally always expand CW’d posts by checking the box for ‘Always expand posts marked with content warnings.’

    • If you use both an app and the browser, you will have to set this in both.

  • Account addresses are structured as @username@instance.domain. If you search for a user on another instance, be sure to always include the instance domain.


  • Favoriting = Like post, public
  • Bookmarking = Save a cached copy to profile, private
  • Boosting = Reposting for your followers to see
  • Don’t use link shorteners; all links are only counted as 23 characters and shorteners can break previews.

This instance uses a dedicated hypervisor that is running a Talos based Kubernetes cluster and a WAF. It can be easily expanded with more hypervisors due to the OSPF routing we have in place to spin up a new VM or hypervisor with internal access to the cluster easily.

This instance is for Ontarians and anyone connected to our province.

We're part of the fediverse - a network of community-run servers, not corporate platforms. Build the gardens, not the walls.

Oliphaunt is a (currently) small server administered by geeks who are interested in learning about all sorts of topics. We aim to be a safe and welcoming place for all comers and especially those looking for engaged admins willing to moderate away the rougher parts of the fediverse.
Instance rules
  1. No discrimination or hate speech, including but not limited to racism, sexism, homophobia or transphobia.
  2. No incitement of violence or promotion of violent ideologies.
  3. No disinformation regarding public health issues or political/military campaigns.
  4. No harassment of other users on this or other servers or services.
  5. No spam. This includes commercial advertising, promotional campaigns, and SEO. Individuals promoting their own work or works they enjoy is acceptable within reason. We're here to help people socialize, not boost brands.
  6. No uploading of pirated media or materials. Even with an obvious fair use claim, please link to third-party hosting for anything outside normal social media usage like reaction gifs.

This is a large server run by one nerd.

Do you love horror? Stories, movies, narrations, artwork? So do I. That's why I started this instance. I've had this domain doing nothing for years, now I finally have something to use it for.
