This search engine for Mastodon instances is based on a database that gets updated by our crawler every night (CET).

Instances are considered new for 30 days after they are discovered.

When an instance has not responded to our daily checks for more than 30 days it is no longer considered in statistics and searches and it gets checked only on the first of the month, rather than daily, until it possibly responds again, or until its last succesful check is one year old; in this latter case, from that moment it gets checked only on the first day of each year.

“Random ordering” of results varies daily.

Default search criteria reflect our fondness for a decentralized and egalitarian Fediverse and our attempt to exclude instances accepting fascist, racist, sexist, ableist, sovereignist, pro-nuclear and pedopornographic contents by marking them as noxious.

Hi and welcome to the PMDCollab Mastodon server!

What is this? Think of this as a mixture of Twitter and r/MysteryDungeon. It's our own little world for sharing things about the games and franchise we all love! Artists, game makers, YouTubers, fans all come together to share and discuss the games they love.

Additionally thanks to the Mastodon Federation feature you can follow people on all other Mastodon servers that exist. Likewise people from other servers can follow you and share content you post. In that way the entire Mastodon network is also a big "Twitter replacement".

In a way this is also a lot like the old-school community forums of the olden days of the internet. But with features you would expect from a modern social media platform.

Okay but why though? Twitter is a mess. It always has been but recently it has been even more so. Mastodon is a network of small servers hosted by individuals or small companies. The goal is to get social media back into the hands of the public. Additionally it's also more focused than Twitter, with this server being focused on PMD and the bigger franchise, so ideally you'll find what you are looking for way more easily. And thanks to the Federation feature you can still interact with every other Mastodon server and talk and share anything you like.

Hm, but nobody's on here... Not yet! But that can change! By signing up you become part of the community.

And thanks to the focused nature of this server it will be much easier for PMD fans and other fans of the bigger related franchise (you know, the one starting with P) to find each other. If you are an artist drawing art of your favorite creatures it will hopefully be way easier for you to be found here than on the big void that is Twitter.

In that sense this is kind of a mix of Twitter and a subreddit. You get the same microblogging benefits that Twitter gives you, and you get the focused spotlight that being on the frontpage of a subreddit gives you.

Do I just have to talk about PMD? Of course not! All content is allowed as long as you agree to our rules, which basically boil down to common sense. We are mostly focused on PMD and the related franchises though.
