About This Search Engine

This search engine for Mastodon instances is based on a database that gets updated by our crawler every night (CET).

Instances are considered new for 30 days after they are discovered.

When an instance has not responded to our daily checks for more than 30 days it is no longer considered in statistics and searches and it gets checked only on the first of the month, rather than daily, until it possibly responds again, or until its last succesful check is one year old; in this latter case, from that moment it gets checked only on the first day of each year.

“Random ordering” of results varies daily.

Default search criteria reflect our fondness for a decentralized and egalitarian Fediverse and our attempt to exclude instances accepting fascist, racist, sexist, ableist, sovereignist, pro-nuclear and pedopornographic contents by marking them as noxious.

If you don’t want your instance to show up here, please e-mail us at masthelp[at]insicuri.net.

If your instance is behind a web firewall such as Anubis or Cloudflare, and you want it to be listed here, you must configure the firewall to allow our bot, which makes no more than a dozen HTTP requests per day, to connect to your instance, by whitelisting it by User-Agent and/or IP address. Our bot’s User-Agent is mastodon.help; the IP address from which it makes requests is the same as this site’s, 65.108.133.80.

Ain't That Cunnin' is a Fediverse instance running Mastodon intended as a community hub for folks who live in Maine.
Long description
When I first found Mastodon in early 2022, I loved the idea of instances based on interest or geography or whatever it was. I looked for a Maine-centric instance, but no luck. For the next several months, I used Mastodon on and off, but it wasn't until Elon's purchase was finalized that I dove in more completely. Much to my disappointment, still no instance specific to Maine people. So here we are.

Okla.Social is a Mastodon instance for Oklahomans' and is administered by the same. You can also join us on Discord at https://discord.gg/ma68Cesjzm.

We welcome everyone but do ask, that if possible, please help contribute to the operating costs of the server. This server is administered by volunteers and as such, costs are paid directly by them. All proceeds will go towards the operating costs of the server and to help with the growth of it.

We are committed to the Mastodon Server Covenant which includes the following statements.



  • Active moderation against racism, sexism, homophobia and transphobia Users must have the confidence that they are joining a safe space, free from white supremacy, anti-semitism and transphobia of other platforms.



  • Daily backups It is important for users to have the confidence that a trip over the power cable or a rogue bit flip will not erase all of their data. Having a backup strategy is a basic necessity of providing a public service.



  • At least one other person with emergency access to the server infrastructure Various circumstances can prevent the original owner of the Mastodon server from answering technical emergencies. For this reason, more than one person must have that capability.



  • Commitment to give users at least 3 months of advance warning in case of shutting down


Sometimes services shut down, it is the cycle of life. But users must have the confidence that their account will not disappear overnight, so that they have time to export their data and find another server.

  1. No toxic and hateful speech. We have a zero-tolerance policy on toxic and hateful speech. This includes attacks against anyone’s gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, age, disability, personal appearance, or socio-economic status.

  5. No content illegal in the United States or copyrighted content that you don't own rights to. Illegal or copyrighted content is not allowed to be stored, posted, or discussed on okla.social.
  6. Sexually explicit or violent media must be marked appropriately. Posts and images with sexually explicit or violence must be flagged as sensitive and contain a content warning noting either ‘NSFW’ or ‘Violence’ when posting.
  7. No spamming. Excessive posting, boosting, advertising or mass-marketing posts will be actioned accordingly and based on intent.

This is community open to all whilst intended for people in, from, identify with or are just interested in Greater Manchester! The aim is to maintain an instance for general use but wouldn't it be nice to have a local timeline showing all the cool stuff going on in the best city in the world!

This is a friendly community. There are rules, which we will enforce, but they basically boil down to asking you to be nice. If you can't be nice, there's other instances for you to use. We federate with most instances but we will defederate from instances which host accounts which harass our users or repeatedly introduce unacceptable content on our timeline.

  1. No discrimination, including (but not limited to) racism, sexism, homophobia or transphobia.
  2. No explicit (NSFW) content without content warnings and/or sensitive media markers. Explicit content must not be used in user avatars or header images.

  4. No content illegal in the United Kingdom
  5. No incitement of violence or promotion of violent ideologies.
  6. No disinformation regarding public health issues or political/military campaigns.
