It's been around for over 20 years and has thousands of media professionals engaging in daily discussions of topics that impact the industry. It is currently maintained by Jim and Tom Neff. This server has been set up independently as a complement to the listserve for the community to be able to engage outside the email medium. Feel free to cross-post with the list. But let's try to keep this instance focused on the business of media.
