Welcome to TheVerze! :)

TheVerze is a universal Mastodon server/instance with a science, technology, art, and business influence. More like LinkedIn, less like Twitter. It is open to everyone who is curious, open minded, and respectful of different opinions. Diversity welcome! Please follow the law!

Features of TheVerze

  • TheVerze is fully funded throughout 2024. It only needs electrons... :)
  • A+ Rating from SSL_Labs ; TLS 1.3 ; encrypted backup.... We take security seriously!
  • Backup of critical data to offsite location every 6 hours
  • Servers running TheVerze have battery backup (k8s cluster)
  • There are multiple WAN connections to the servers that host #TheVerze
  • Multiple ITSulu team members have the ability to technically administrate, troubleshoot, as well as moderate TheVerze
  • TheVerze runs on the ITSulu hardware. We own the hardware on site
  • As TheVerze grows, we have the expertise to scale Mastodon to support the growth with the ability to surge to the Cloud

Instance rules
  1. Don't be a jerk! If your mom and/or grandmother would not approve of your activity, then don't do it!
  2. Do not use slurs, racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, ableist, discriminatory language, hateful jokes, promote white supremacy, anti-Semitism, transphobia, or any other hateful ideologies.
  3. Do not harass anyone, participate in group harassment of anyone, or otherwise engage in personal attacks. Posting or threatening to post other people’s personally identifying information constitutes harassment.
  4. Do not be intentionally antagonistic. A post or reply designed to provoke a confrontation is not acceptable.
  5. No unwelcome sexual attention (including sexualized comments or jokes). Any #NSFW content must be hidden and a Content Warning must be added.
  6. Do not post spam. Try to add more to the conversation than just a link or a large number of hashtags. Keep the toot/post interesting.
  7. Do not use automated tools to toot without participating. Unmonitored accounts that do not reply are discouraged.
  8. Do not post about inflammatory or controversial subjects without a Content Warning.
  9. Do not engage in name calling, ad hominem attacks, or any other uncivil behaviour. Focus on and criticize ideas never the individual.
  10. When moderating languages, Google Translate to English will be used
