We are doing our best to always run the latest release of mastodon (sometimes a release flies by without us noticing, in this case, just post a friendly reminder to @admin 😊).

We have enabled full text search on your own statuses, mentions, favourites, and bookmarks.

Every account posting advertisements as soon as possible will be banned instantly.

We are committed to the "Mastodon Server Covenant", which means:

• Racism, sexism, homophobia and transphobia have no place with us
• We make daily backups of all data
• There is a second person who can take care of the server in case of emergency
• We commit to inform all users at least 3 months in advance in case the server shuts down.

⚠️ Blocklist

The blocklist of the server was based off the one at chaos.social and was last updated on 11/13/2022. Explanations:

• "Free speech zone": a server where it is okay to share e.g. Nazi propaganda, on the grounds that open discourse is more important than people's sensitivities or the laws of e.g. Germany or France.
• "lolicon": sexualized depiction of children

🖥️ Server Hardware

Our hardware is located in German data centers and operated by Hetzner (German) and OVH(French).

Hetzner hosts our compute:

• 4 CPU vCore
• 16 GB RAM
• 150 GB SSD
• 20TB of traffic included

OVH hosts our storage: unlimited SWIFT object storage with 'pay as you go' model.

3. Freedom of speech does not mean freedom from criticism. Just because you are allowed to express your opinion doesn't mean you can't get any opposition for it.

5. We do not tolerate harassment, including brigading, dogpiling or any other form of contact with a user who has indicated that they do not wish to be contacted.

8. Content that is illegal in Germany will be deleted and may result in immediate account suspension. For example online casinos without a proper license will immediately be suspended.
9. NSFW content must be labeled as such using a content warning
10. Automated posts should be posted as "Unlisted" (i.e. they are visible but not in the local timeline). This also applies to bots, feed posters, Twitter "retweets" and Twitter crossposts. Crossposter accounts that do not actively participate may be removed by us.
11. You are not allowed to plainly advertise your company without providing a benefit for the viewer
