CORTEX IMPLANT is an underground digital hackerspace // a network for those who exist at the intersection of cyberculture, autonomy, and resistance to the control of mega-corporations.

It's a space for artists, musicians, programmers, philosophers, punks, and digital drifters who prefer to build, think, and create outside the mainstream. We are explicitly queer and committed to a space where diverse identities are respected and can exist freely.

No algorithms dictating your voice, no corporate noise // just raw exchange, experimentation, and community in the shadows.



📝 Registration

To join CORTEX IMPLANT you’ll need an invitation from a friend who's an existing user, as we’re an invite-only instance. Invitations can only be sent by community members. Admins and moderators will not invite people on direct request.

Once you receive an invite, you can create your account and join us.

We’re always happy to welcome artists, musicians, programmers, philosophers, punks, and digital drifters who want to engage and help shape the space. After joining, we’d love for you to introduce yourself within your first week and say hi!

📋 Rules

The following rules are a (non-exhaustive) list of behaviours that may lead to deletion of postings, silencing or suspension of accounts, at the descretion of the instance administrators, as described in our terms.

Please report behaviour that bothers you. We will keep your report confidential.

• We do not tolerate discriminatory behaviour and content promoting or advocating the oppression of members of marginalised groups. These groups may be characterised by any of the following (though this list is naturally incomplete):

  • gender identity or expression
  • sexual identity or expression
  • physical characteristics or age
  • disability or illness
  • nationality, residency, citizen status
  • wealth or education
  • religious affiliation, agnosticism or atheism
  
  
• We do not tolerate threatening behaviour, stalking, and doxxing.
• We do not tolerate harassment, including brigading, dogpiling, or any other form of contact with a user who has stated that they do not wish to be contacted.
• We do not tolerate bullying, including name-calling, intentional misgendering or deadnaming.
• We do not tolerate violent nationalist propaganda, Nazi symbolism or promoting the ideology of National Socialism.
• We do not tolerate conspiracy narratives or other reactionary myths supporting or leading to the above-mentioned (and/or similar) behavior.
• Actions intended to damage this instance or its performance may lead to immediate account suspension.
• Content that is illegal in Germany will be deleted and may lead to immediate account suspension.
• We do not tolerate spam, fraud, or theft in our community. This includes excessive cross-posts, links, and posts related to crypto and AI projects.
• We do not tolerate the posting or sharing of AI-generated content, including but not limited to images, videos, music, text, code or other media created with artificial intelligence tools.
• Accounts created primarily for passive observation without meaningful participation (e.g. “lurking” with no engagement over an extended period) may be subject to review and potential suspension at the discretion of the moderation team.

Any user who violates this rule will face immediate action, ranging from a warning to content removal to a suspension or restricted account access, depending on the severity and frequency of the violation. Our priority is to provide a spam-free environment for our members, and we are committed to consistently enforcing this rule.
