What is this?

A co-operatively owned social media space for Bath and the surrounding area — run, managed, and owned by its members.

• A place to regenerate a more socially and ecologically aware Bath
• Not tied to any one project — supports informal, cross-pollinating connections across many initiatives
• Open to everyone — whether you're deeply involved or just want to chat and see what's going on
• Not just for "worthy" content — bring your memes, cat pics, and food photos too!

Why does it exist?

Because the big platforms (Facebook, Twitter, etc.) are built on surveillance capitalism

We believe in something better:

• Informal, everyday chat is essential to building community ecosystems
• Individual projects often operate in silos — this space helps connect the dots
• It's an experiment in citizen empowerment — with real ownership and shared responsibility
• Locally focused, globally connected — part of a wider federated network, not a walled garden

1. Sexually explicit or violent media must be marked as sensitive when posting
2. No racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, xenophobia, or casteism
3. No incitement of violence or promotion of violent ideologies
4. No harassment, dogpiling or doxxing of other users
5. No content illegal in Germany (where the server is), or the UK
6. Do not share intentionally false or misleading information
