A Bangladesh-focused social platform, open to everyone.

MastodonBD is a Bangladesh-focused Mastodon instance on the fediverse.

This space was created to give people in and around Bangladesh a place to connect, talk, and build community on an open, decentralized social network — without ads, algorithms, or corporate control.

That said, you do not need to be from Bangladesh to be here. The fediverse works best when borders are low and conversations are open. If you’re interested in Bangladesh, care about open platforms, or just want a calmer, more human social space, you’re welcome.

What this instance is about

Community & moderation

MastodonBD is community-oriented. Moderation exists to keep the space usable and welcoming, not to police opinions. Decisions aim to be transparent, reasonable, and proportionate.

If something feels off, you’re encouraged to report it or reach out. This is a shared space, and keeping it healthy is a collective effort.

Funding & sustainability

As of now, MastodonBD is funded and operated by @ml@social.mitexleo.one as an independent, community-driven effort.

The current monthly operational cost is below $20, covering basic infrastructure and maintenance. There is no profit motive behind this instance. If you find value in having a Bangladesh-focused space on the fediverse and would like to support its sustainability, donations are welcome — but never required.

Looking ahead, the goal is to gradually run and host more open, community-oriented services under the collective umbrella of Buddyverse.net.
