Support Our Community While LindyHop.Community is free to use, running this platform involves costs like hosting, maintenance, and volunteer time. If you’d like to support us, donations are welcome but entirely optional. Your presence and participation are what matter most!

Privacy and Security Notice Mastodon does not provide end-to-end encryption for direct messages. For private conversations, we recommend using secure messaging apps like Signal. You can share your Signal username in your profile for secure communication.

Community Rules By signing up, you agree to follow our server rules, which ensure a safe, respectful, and constructive environment for all. Please review them carefully and help us maintain a positive space for everyone.

1. Treat everyone with respect, regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, or abilities. Discrimination, harassment, or bullying of any kind is not tolerated.
2. Users engaging in harassment, abuse, or making others uncomfortable will be removed. Individuals with a credible history of misconduct within the dance community will also not be welcome.
3. Hate ideologies, conspiracy theories, or political extremism, or science denial, have no place here. Arguments should be evidence-based and thought-provoking, even if controversial.
4. This platform is free from ads and corporate influence. Members here solely for defending corporate social media or undermining our values will be removed.
5. If you’re not a Swing Dancer, we don’t want to discourage you from joining the Mastodon network, but we may not be the best fit for you. There are many other amazing Mastodon instances that cater to broader interests or general use.
6. Always mark posts containing sensitive content (e.g., graphic images, triggering topics, or explicit language) with a content warning (CW). This ensures everyone can choose whether to engage with such material, fostering a respectful and considerate community.
7. Violating these guidelines will result in warnings, suspension, or removal. Moderators’ decisions are final to ensure community safety.
