The server is intended for anyone with a professional or personal interest in biodiversity and particularly biodiversity data. This includes everyone in the GBIF community including nodes, data publishers, data users, researchers, professionals, students, etc.

We welcome anyone who has an interest in biodiversity, but screen applications to avoid spam.

When applying for an account, please provide a short explanation of why biodiversity.social is the right server for you.

We are dedicated to providing a safe, hospitable, and productive environment for the our community. Interactions on this server must be professional, respectful and harassment-free for all participants.

In addition to specific rules of the server, the GBIF Code of Conduct applies to all users of this server.
