Hellsite.site is a left wing progressive and welcoming space. to keep it a space open to all where they can feel safe, we have the following guidelines for our users and moderators:
-Discrimination against those lower down on the social ladder this includes, but it not limited to: racism, homophobia, antisemitism, transphobia, classism against the working class, ableism, gate keeping of identities and general exclusionary behavior, misogyny, genocide denial, harassment, Islamophobia. We support and recognise other-kin as well as plural systems, we will not accept any questioning of their legitimacy as identities. We do endorse punching up because reverse racism and things like that aren't real
-All illegal content is not allowed on Hellsite.site whatsoever, regardless of the legitimacy of the law. Illegal content will get the server taken down, and a one person crusade is not worth that hassle. We do not endorse any illegal actions what so ever on Hellsite.site
-Hellsite.site is an anti fascist space. We endorse and support the idea of deplatforming and fighting fascism at every turn, as such we consistently de-federate with fascistic instances, and do not care who is on those instances. Because of this anti fascist stance, any and all users on Hellsite or other instances will be immediately cut off from our community if there is even any suspicion of fascistic tendencies. explicit fascist dog whistles such as the '((( )))' antisemitic echo and symbols like the frog emoji will be looked at in context, many people may be using things in a non fascist context or not understand the meaning behind something and we are always looking to understand and educate in the fight against fascism
-Hellsite.site is not an advertising platform. While fund raising and users selling their own products or sex workers advertising to get by is more than acceptable, hellsite.site is not a platform for capitalists to advertise on and park their social media brand accounts on; in the same vein we refuse to allow the platforming of any government agencies or law enforcement on our instance
-As we try to be an accepting space, we ask you do the following to be inclusive in your posting. Use the content warning system to allow for those who may find topics triggering, obvious examples include: food, sexual content, assault, mental health issues, and any other topics at your own discretion; explicitly sexual content should always be marked as such, be it text or images. second of all, we ask that people please use the image description system for all images posted, yes even large blocks of text, it's very easy for those who are able bodied to transcribe the text and descriptions of visual situations
-Consistent spam is not allowed, even when considered to be a joke by the user. while a repetition of a line here or there may be just a joke, spamming where much of the local timeline is taken up by a single user posting the same or similar variations of a word or phrase fast and continuously will be removed
-Bad faith rules lawyering in an attempt to avoid the clear and obvious progressive intent of these rules is unacceptable behavior, even when done for the sake of 'playing devil's advocate'. if you have issues with the lettering of a point here, please discuss it with the rest of the community and an open and honest criticism
-All rules on hellsite are made by the community, for the community. We are a community who built a space we want to be in, and as such all rules are subject to change by the participation of community members in talking about changing old rules or adding new ones. We welcome new ideas, new perspectives, and a discussion about what makes a space as open and positive as possible. No conversation is final, and old topics are always welcome to be brought back to the table for discussion by the community by any user who requests it
