Goonj India is part of the Goonj network of community. Anyone can join and find the right community to participate.

Open

Goonj is open for everyone to join, but hate speech of any kind is prohibited. Goonj can be joined through any device through our web application. Goonj is open source and based on the popular Mastodon social network.

Privacy Conscious

Users can seamlessly download their entire account data and delete their accounts any time they want. No private information like Real Name, Date of Birth etc. is required to join Goonj. Goonj provides easy control to share your content with a limited audience or to a wider audience as required.

Code of Conduct

Try to be a good neighbour to everyone in the community. Please avoid all behaviour which can be considered spamming, scamming, ponography, NSFW content, advocacy of violence, ethnic/racial/homophobic slurs, harassment, or any other content/activity deemed against the law. Offending content will need to be removed by the user, and repeat offenders will be banned from the community.

We strive to be "work-friendly", so if you post anything that's allowable under our policy but may reasonably be considered objectionable, please use a CW (content warning) to tag it as such.

Moderation activities will be as transparent as possible, with rationales for each action. The community will have the opportunity to review and give input on actions, and the moderation team will be responsive to that.

* Nudity exceptions - the following are okay: Nudity in photos of paintings and sculptures; Breastfeeding (with content warning); Nudity in photos of political expression or significance (with content warning). Examples that don't qualify as exceptions: Nudity in digital art; Nudity with political text simply added to it; etc.

Go to Invites. Check Invite to follow your account, and generate a link. People who sign up through the invite will automatically follow you!

Recommended: Enable all notifications to start with; then, if there are any you find you don't like, disable them.
