Accounts violating these rules may be cautioned, silenced or blocked from ausglam.space and may not be given a warning or notice.

Harassment

Harassment includes, but is not limited to:

• offensive comments related to gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race or ethnicity, religion, or other personal attributes or identities
• unwelcome comments regarding a person’s lifestyle choices and practices
• sexual images without a clear content warning
• deliberate intimidation
• threats of violence or incitements to violence against an individual or group
• violating any ausglam.space policy
• sustained attacks on someone’s project, work or idea

Sometimes a comment one person thinks is innocuous is offensive to someone else. If someone tells you they find your language or comments offensive, please take that on board graciously.

If we ask participants to stop any harassing behaviour they are expected to comply immediately. Any ausglam.space member can issue a warning to a participant that their behaviour violates the community’s anti-harassment policy.

If a member engages in harassing behaviour, the moderators may take any action they deem appropriate, including warning the offender, silencing them, or in extreme cases, banning them from ausglam.space with or without notice.

Terms

Hosting and data management

ausglam.space is run by Hugh Rundle and hosted on Binary Lane servers located in Queensland, Australia. It will probably exist for quite a while, but might not. Whilst every effort will be made, no guarantee of continuation of service is given.

By using this site you give permission for ausglam.space to copy and publish your posts in line with the relevant privacy settings for each post, in order to provide the service and make appropriate data backups.

You should only sign up to Aus GLAM Space if you trust Hugh Rundle and Sae Ra Germaine personally with your usage data and messages.

Sharing and redistribution of data

Individual users may not provide permission to third parties to scrape, archive or otherwise record their ausglam.space posts as this will leak data about those they interact with.

Publishing screenshots of ausglam.space posts in any form is forbidden unless with the express written permission of all authors and all users mentioned within the relevant posts.

Moderation

Administration, moderation, and community management is being performed on a voluntary basis. Thanks for your patience.

Spam and harassing accounts will be suspended/rejected with extreme prejudice.

1. All users MUST comply with the Code of Conduct.
2. All posts with references to the following topics MUST have a useful content warning: violence; sexual content; electoral politics (#auspol, #uspol etc); Twitter; self-harm and suicide; hate speech; descriptions of descrimination and traumatic experiences.
3. Any images depicting violence, nudity, or self-harm MUST be hidden behind a useful content warning and MUST be marked as "sensitive".
4. All images SHOULD come with a description, using the alt-text description tools provided by Mastodon and relevant apps.
5. Accounts created for the sole purpose of federating the public timeline to another server ("federation bots") WILL be blocked when found, and servers that host them MAY be server-blocked without notice.
6. Accounts promoting cryptocurrencies and similar scams WILL be blocked without warning.
7. Users MUST NOT cross-post from Twitter or other corporate social media into Mastodon.
8. Users MUST NOT cross-post non-public Mastodon posts onto any platform that does not use the ActivityPub protocol (e.g. to Twitter)
9. No Nazis, no brands, no corporations, no TERFs.
