Registrations

Currently, registrations are open to new members. To ensure a positive and spam-free environment, we kindly request that you provide a reason for joining during the registration process. Spam accounts may be subject to banning. Additionally, feel free to include a brief introduction or share something about yourself when registering. We look forward to welcoming you to BEEF!

1. Posting of content that violates the laws of the Netherlands (the owner's country) or Germany (hosting country) is strictly forbidden. Users are not permitted to share any material that is illegal in these jurisdictions.
2. Users are prohibited from engaging in spamming activities, which includes but is not limited to repeatedly mentioning other users, flooding the local timeline, or mass-mentioning users.
3. All automated accounts must be appropriately labeled as "BOT" accounts.
4. Any form of racism, sexism, or other types of discrimination is strictly disallowed. Users are expected to refrain from engaging in any behavior that promotes or perpetuates discrimination based on race, gender, or any other characteristic.
5. NSFW (Not Safe For Work) content is permitted within the Mastodon instance. However, users are required to provide appropriate content warnings when posting such material.
6. The promotion or endorsement of political extremism is strictly prohibited. Users are not allowed to share content that advocates extreme political ideologies.
7. Any content related to pedophilia or Minor Attracted Persons (MAP) is strictly prohibited. Violation of this rule will result in an immediate and permanent ban from the Mastodon instance. This is a zero-tolerance policy.
8. It is imperative for all users to respect the boundaries of others.
9. Users are strictly prohibited from engaging in doxxing or any unauthorized sharing of personal information without the explicit permission of the individual involved.
10. Users are prohibited from impersonating others unless the account is clearly labeled as a parody.
11. Any form of harassment, bullying, or targeted intimidation towards other users is strictly prohibited.
12. Users should respect copyright laws and refrain from posting content that infringes on the intellectual property rights of others.
13. Excessive or inappropriate commercial promotion, spamming, or advertising unrelated to the Mastodon instance's focus may be subject to moderation.
14. Avoid sharing private conversations or screenshots without the explicit consent of all involved parties.
15. Users should strive to share accurate information and refrain from spreading false or misleading content.
16. Maintain a respectful and constructive tone in interactions, avoiding excessive profanity or aggressive language.
17. These rules are may or may not cover all cases, thus a moderator will always have the last say in what goes or not. Generally, if you have to think about whether something crosses a line, it most likely does.
