We aim for an acceptable balance between reach and safety that allows our members to share their work with the widest possible audience while ensuring that they feel comfortable and safe on our server. For this reason, we primarily block individual bad actors and only resort to the defederation of entire servers in cases of particular hardship.

In addition, we encourage you to use the tools provided by Mastodon (e.g., filtering, muting, blocking and reporting) to curate your timeline according to your own preferences.

Moderation policy

We believe in friendly interaction, respect, tolerance and peaceful coexistence. The mastoart.social team reserves the right to moderate or remove content at their discretion if it is not in accordance with these values.

Laws and rules

This server is hosted in a German data center and therefore falls under German as well as EU law. In addition, the server rules apply.

Reliability

Do not use mastoart.social as a permanent repository for your posts, data or media, as we cannot guarantee the permanent storage of your content. We recommend that you regularly create local backups of your content to be safe in case of possible data loss.

Inactive accounts

Inactive accounts with no profile and/or five posts or less will be deleted one month after last login in order to free up storage space. Inactive accounts with more than five posts will be deleted six months after last login.

All original user-generated content on mastoart.social is copyright of the respective author and is not licensed for use by third parties unless otherwise stated.
