Intro

We are a community. Everyone in this space brings their own experiences and perspectives, and this intersection of personal histories can be messy. Though there is no way to create a truly universal 'safe space', we intentionally cultivate an atmosphere of mutual respect, understanding, and kindness here. We are all individuals doing our best, making our way through life together.

Code of Conduct

Posts or users will be removed if found to be in violation of the CoC, and repeated violations will result in an account limitation or suspension.

   Each IP address is currently allowed 2 active accounts by default. If you have a redirected old account for a name change it will not count towards your active account limit. If you are in a situation where your IP will be the same as someone else’s, please note that when signing up.

   Name changes are restricted to twice a year. If you are requesting a name change, please put in the account creation reason field that you are requesting a name change and what your current account name is.

   This is not a server for posting AI-generated content or for creating a bot account, there are many other, better servers to host your bot or if you are interested in AI-generated content.

   Content warning is not a general requirement aside from gore, graphic violence, and sexualized nudity. These topics are not allowed on the public timelines (server or federated) without being marked as sensitive and/or a content warning. Posts may be removed if found in violation, and repeatedly violating this rule may result in an account limitation or suspension.

   If you're on here you're representing our server in the broader fediverse, so be mindful of your interactions with people off the server as well. Users that are reported for spamming, trolling, or otherwise breaking the rules on this server by other servers in any way may face account suspension or ban.

Privacy & Security

While we are not looking to grow this instance, we are working toward following the Mastodon Covenant

• We are implementing moderation policies against racism, sexism, homophobia, and transphobia.
• We have daily backups of user data in place.
• Currently only one user has access to the server infrastructure but we will be working on training others to serve in emergencies.
• We are committed to 3 months advanced warning in the case the server is being shut down to allow people time to export data and migrate to a new server.

Per the DMCA, we will respond expeditiously to claims of copyright infringement on the Site if submitted to our Copyright Agent as described below. Upon receipt of a notice alleging copyright infringement, We will take whatever action it deems appropriate within its sole discretion, including removal of the allegedly infringing materials and termination of access for repeat infringers of copyright protected content.

If you believe that your intellectual property rights have been violated by us or by a third party who has uploaded materials to our website, please provide the following information to the designated Copyright Agent listed below:

1. As the server is located in California, do not post / coordinate / promote anything that would be considered illegal under California or United States laws. We’re just people trying to run a server for our friends and do not want to get in legal trouble. Violators of this rule will be suspended.
2. Being racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, ableist, fatphobic, xenophobic, generally harassing others, making threats, and other bigotry are not allowed. Posts may be removed if found in violation of this rule, and users and servers violating this rule will be suspended.
