Welcome to is-a.horse!
A new-ish, small instance for horses on the internet! Are you a horse on the internet, or want to be a horse on the internet? Do you just think horses on the internet are neat? Come on in!
Why join us?
The future of this server, such as it is, is likely to be shaped more than its users than by me, assuming we get any at all, that is. There's a few reasons you might want to join in though, in no particular order: - The domain name will let everyone know that you're a horse! - I will not let this server go unmoderated, rule one is clear and easy to understand. - I know the blocklist is short, we haven't had many problems yet, fortunately. - This instance is set up to be easy to scale, once we get that far. - I'm not planning to let this setup buckle under load - Nightly backups, as well as backups before any upgrade or major change. - I'm not letting this instance disappear without a trace, either - I'm also considering more frequent backups, depending on how rebuilding the media cache works.
Why not to join us?
Frankly, this instance is teeny tiny, and currently run and moderated by one person. There are a lot of other instances that fit that description, and I know we haven't been around long enough to really prove that we're going to stick. I'm also inexperienced with the fediverse as a whole, though that will hopefully change over time. There are other pony focused instances to try (Thanks for including me, LittleshyFiM!) if you don't feel comfortable taking a chance on this instance!

Why is approval needed for signups?
I just want to know who's joining in! I can remove the restriction if there is demand, but I don't think we're big enough for it to be an issue yet. Alternatively, you can also invite your friends directly with invite links.
Who even are you?
I'm just some Canadian horse on the internet that likes hosting servers as a hobby, and that also does it for work. I'm just happy to see something I'm hosting being used!
Is this an instance for bronies or furries?
It's an instance for whoever wants to join it, regardless of which label you prefer, or both, or neither! Anyone who wants to be a horse on the internet is welcome here.
