岁月神偷，是一个运行了「Mastodon（长毛象）」的站点，由一位有点懒惰的小偷维持运行。

本站点的服务器和数据存放在美国，运营团队位于中国大陆，运营团队看起来可能会遵守中国大陆的法律法规，但谁知道呢。

为什么开启了邀请注册模式？

开启此功能的目的不是为了挑选用户，而是为了防止垃圾账号，以及保护服务器，所以开启了邀请注册和注册确认模式。在服务器资源充足的情况下，注册会很快被通过。

什么是长毛象？

长毛象泛指一批使用相同协议的站点，旨在提供去中心化的社交媒体体验。

鉴于「去中心化」的定义，您一般需要订阅其他用户，才能在信息流中看到他人。同样，他人一般需要订阅您的账户，才能看到您发送的信息。不过，不少服务器会选择加入「中继节点（Relay）」，本站也不例外。这样，您或其他人发送的信息可能在未订阅的情况下被注意到。
