• This isn't a place to put your non-book ads (e.g., if most of your toots are promoting your author services--please don't)
• There are many important topics, issues, news items, and hobbies. Indie Authors Social, by design, narrowly focuses on one theme: books, the people that write them, self-publish them, and the people that read them
• Moderation of users and instances is a work of consensus and core to the Fediverse. On IAS, moderation-by-consensus will always be the go-to approach for local and external content, but in the case of blatant or egregious violations, IAS admins may take immediate steps to moderate users or instances
