A small instance for a small group with big dreams

We're a small group of friends and friend of friends using mastodon wanting a stable, fast & transparent instance. As of writing, we have a 99.88% uptime

Moderation policy

As we're a small instance, We do not feel the need for a complete Code of Conduct or a complete definition and expanded list of rules.

If the rules are not clear, please ask us. We will be happy to explain them to you. We will also be happy to explain why we have chosen to enforce them.

As well, If the need arises, we will define a more complete Code of Conduct and rules.

Local accounts

Local users have to abide by our rules, failure to do so might result in moderation actions. The severity of the action depends on the severity of the rule broken. For example, Posting illegal content will result in a ban, while posting a NSFW image without a CW will result in temporary forced sensitive marking.

Federated accounts

Federated accounts are moderated slightly differently, as we have less tools for those. Initially, our moderation policy is to: Mark sensitive > Limit > Suspend. If reasonable percentage of the accounts of a instance is moderated, We will look into applying moderation to the instance itself.

Exceptions

Things will always be a bit complicated, and we will always try to be reasonable and fair. We reserve the right to skip moderation steps if we feel it is appropriate.

Transparency

We try to be as transparent as possible, and will always try to explain our moderation actions. If you feel we have been unfair, please contact @beep. We are always open to discussion, and will always try to be reasonable.

Expected response times

We will try to respond to moderation requests as soon as possible, but we are all volunteers, and we have lives outside of this instance. We will try to respond within 24 hours, but we can't guarantee it. Feel free to ping us if you feel we have been too slow, We love to work with other instances.
