This server is for LGBTQIA+ people in Australia (although anyone is welcome to join), focused on highlighting queer issues and promoting queer voices in the Fediverse space.

This server is operated and owned by the Heimdall Intranet project, with support from the UNSW Queer Collective, to provide a safe space online for queer people away from the Big Tech platforms, which have a track record of lax privacy and security. Additionally, we're focused on promoting queer creators and activists, using our connections in industry and online to bring attention to Australian queer issues.

1. All content on this server must be compliant with Australian law. This server is hosted in Australia, and so moderators have the discretion to remove content as required by law.
2. Discrimination and bigotry won't be tolerated. This is designed to be a safe space for LGBTQIA+ people, so we have zero tolerance for Nazism, TERFs, or hate speech.
3. Respect other users. Please be nice to people who are new to the Fediverse and Mastodon, including our new Twitter refugees.
4. Use Content Warnings for NSFW content. While NSFW content is allowed, please do not post it without a CW tag or it will be removed. If it's illegal or discriminatory, see Rule 1 & 2.
5. Listen; Don’t Make Excuses. If you’re accused of causing harm, either take some responsibility or ask moderators for help.
