The Short Story

The setup of the middleearth.social Mastodon instance was inspired by:

• the post-EM travails of Twitter
• the literature of J.R.R. Tolkien
• an American concerned by the influence of the far-X fringes, when the vast majority of us really reside in and around the "middle"
