In general we assume that we are all responsible adults with "hard skin". In other words, we are prepared to receive opinions as soft or as hard as those we issue. We also assume that there is an intention to have fun and learn without creating a hostile environment.
This instance will be governed by this code of conduct. Summarized in these rules:
1. All comments are personal. Written texts and opinions are the responsibility of the author. This instance, its administrators and moderators do not endorse any of the opinions published.
2. This instance, its admins and moderators do not support fascism or nazis. we do not support their expressions and attacks against minorities. This is not Gab.
3. Let's all keep a relatively civil tone.
4. Remember that on the other side there is a person with feelings. Do not weed out unnecessarily.
5. We do not publish private data of other members of the instance, including screenshots.
6. Child pornography is prohibited and illegal! Any message or image that combines sexuality with images of children under 18 years of age will be classified as child pornography. If a message or photo or painting combines children or those under 18 years of age in a sexual context of any kind, no matter how subtle or indirect it is, you better not post it. Any hints of child pornography will be promptly reported to the FBI along with all the data collected.
7. To participate, you must be of legal age (18 years).
8. The data and content are not sold or commercialized.
9. We protect the information and keep the instance secure by applying the latest patches and updates. It is a constant effort. However, it may happen that, despite our efforts, someone hacks one or more servers. Please be aware before submitting any information deemed sensitive.
10. As part of our work, we keep backup copies of all data in the instance. If necessary, we will restore all data with the latest available backup copy. It may, however, happen that some toots are lost. We will all accept the loss, even if it is irreparable, with sadness and resignation, and then we will continue with our lives.
11. We store certain information, such as email, source IP and some other things, necessary for the operation of the system. We also store the information provided by users and toots :-) If you decide to use this instance, it implies that you accept and authorize us to do so.
12. This instance uses various technologies and services necessary for its operation. An incomplete list includes: DNS, hosting, S3, CDN service providers and defenses against DDOS and other types of computer attacks. Information can circulate through these services that are external to the instance. Just using this instance implies that you authorize all these operations on the data.
13. Accounts can be deleted and information can be purged as explained in the mastodon user manuals. Each user is responsible for carrying out these operations when it is best for them (if they want). It is not a task of the moderators to do this type of cleaning.
14. Sometimes (few), an administrator or moderator will hide a toot, delete it, or suspend a user for obvious violations of this code of conduct. Those decisions can be appealed once to the same moderator or to another. After which the decision is final.
15. We will review this code of conduct from time to time. We are open to suggestions and changes. Please write your contributions in toots.
