A place for Aussie hackers. A hacker is a person who uses their technical knowledge to achieve a goal or overcome an obstacle. We void warranties, not break laws.

A hackerspace (also referred to as a hacklab, hackspace, or makerspace) is a community-operated, often "not for profit", workspace where people with common interests, such as computers, machining, technology, science, digital art, or electronic art, can meet, socialise, and collaborate. Think of this as your virtual hackerspace.

We are located in Australia (thus the domain) but we don't restrict membership to Australia but we do ask that profiles and posts are in english so as to be the most accessible.

To keep spam and trolling to a minimum we moderate registration. Our server is primarily geared towards people who are in or interested in the Hackerspace movement. We want this to be a place where you can freely discuss your projects and project ideas.

3. Keep conversations civil and respectful even in disagreement
4. No racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, xenophobia, anti-Semitism, or casteism
5. Be somehow involved with either the Hackerspace or Makerspace movement within Australia
