RulesWe acknowledge that rules will never be comprehensive or cover every possible situation. Our instance rules are meant to be respected closely in cases that they do cover and to inform how we act in cases where they aren't explicit. Always try to act in the spirit of these rules.
This instance is hosted in Germany. All content posted on 137i.de must abide by German laws and regulations regardless of our own rules.
GeneralAs members of 137i.de we accept these rules and commit to creating an inclusive and respectful environment for ourselves and others.
We do not tolerate oppression of people on the basis of who they are. This includes but is not limited to: gender, race, ethnicity, language, body size and shape, religion or spirituality, nationality, age, disability and sexual orientation.
We define oppression as any language or action that expresses, reinforces, upholds or sympathizes with any form of systemic social domination.
Examples of unacceptable behavior include:
- harassment, both individual and coordinated
- insults and derogatory language
- trolling (trying to deliberately provoke someone)
- threats
- doxxing (publishing of personal information without consent)
- TERF and/or SWERF mindset
Bots, Automation and OrganizationsAccounts on 137i.de are intended for human beings. Bots are generally not allowed on this instance. Exceptions must be explicitly allowed by the admins of the instance.
Tools that post on behalf on humans, like cross-posters that mirror content from other social media sites, are permitted but should be used with care and only replicate content that their owner has posted themselves (e.g. no retweets). All rules still apply in full to content that is posted through such a tool.
Organizations and institutions should generally not have accounts on 137i.de. Exceptions are possible but rare and need to be decided on by the moderators/admins.
AccessibilityVisual media that is posted to the public timeline should always have a text description that conveys its content accurately to someone who cannot see the image.
We avoid large clusters of non-text characters (e.g. Emoji and "glitchy text"), and refrain from using them in usernames at all unless we have actually tested how they are pronounced by a screen-reader and that it doesn't inhibit reading the timeline.
Nudity, Sex and Sex Work, KinkDiscussion and depiction of sexual, erotic, kinky and sex-work related content is explicitly allowed on 137i.de as long as it's not illegal in Germany.
Anything that falls into these categories should be posted with a content warning (CW) and media marked as sensitive when the post appears on a public timeline.
Other users should only be tagged in these posts if they have consented to it.
Content warningsIn addition to previous mentions of content warnings (CWs), the following types of content should be posted with a CW when they appear on the public timeline:
- violence (depiction and graphic description)
- self harm and suicide
- dieting and eating disorders
- citing/quoting content that would violate any of our rules, including screenshots of such content
- visual media with rapid flashing/blinking
Creative WorksWhen posting works created by others (e.g. photos, artworks, comics, music, video, etc.), include attribution for the original artist/creator. If possible link back to their original post.
This rule does not apply to the citing of popular media, for example a screenshot or GIF from a movie, or things like memes.
CryptoWe don't tolerate promotion of any cryptocurrency, NFTs, de-fi, and related projects.
Violations, Conflict and AppealsWe strive to own our mistakes and to learn from them. When we receive feedback on our behaviour that we disagree with, our first reaction should be to listen. Many conflicts can be resolved by trying to see them from another person's perspective.
When directly engaging with each other isn't possible for any involved parties, the moderators/admins of 137i.de can intervene and will act in accordance with our rules.
Severe or repeated violations of our instance's rules can lead to freezing, limiting and suspending of a user's account.
Moderation decisions can be appealed to either via DM to @ordnung@137i.de, or if that's not possible (e.g. after suspension) via email to
ordnung@137i.de. Appealing via the personal accounts of moderators or admins on this instance is unacceptable and will result in suspension.
