My name is Ashley Lauren Spencer. I am the owner of The Autistic Innovator (a store for autistic & neurodivergent people). Welcome to our own little corner of the community.

This server is fully managed via a reliable full-service mastodon hosting provider, moderated by myself (Ashley Lauren Spencer), and self-funded. No donations to keep it running are necessary, and I will never ask you for money to keep the server online.

If you feel you want to support the server, shop for your autistic and neurodivergent stim products at my store for autistic & neurodivergent adults since that's where the funding is coming from. Otherwise this instance is free for you to use.

Autistics.life has been online since December 2022, and has a 10,000 character post limit. The autistics.life domain registration was also recently renewed for an additional 3 years, so this server is stable and not going anywhere.

My life goal is to serve our autistic & neurodivergent communities as best as I can through products I sell and create, along with using social media to connect us together. It's my biggest passion.

I created this instance because I wanted to build our own little sector of our community where we could connect and support each other, and maybe have a safe place to unmask amongst each other.

Whether you identify as neurodivergent, autistic, AuDHD, ADHD you are welcome here. Despite the autistic name, non-autistic neurodivergent people are welcome too!

You don't need a professional diagnosis to be a part of this community. I don't even have a professional autism diagnosis. We are a close-knit small and growing community and welcome all autistics and neurodivergent people.

There is great comfort when we have others who relate to what we go through and help us identify our own autistic and neurodivergent traits in the process.
