Federation

We federate with the parts of the fediverse that are, for the most part, Safe-For-Work, and have active moderation against hate speech, including racism, sexism, and homophobia. Servers that do not meet this standard will be Suspended, meaning there will be no communication between this server and the violating server.

Servers that generally don't provide quality content but otherwise do not meet the criteria to be Suspended are subject to be Silenced, meaning their toots will be hidden by default, but this server's users can still follow and boost content from that server.

Content Security

This server is hosted in a Digital Ocean Data Center in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Backups of your content are made weekly and are retained for four weeks.

Administration

The official Admin account is @SanDiegoUrbanists. It is currently operated by @NevoMagnezi. The secondary admin is @acdingman

1. Don't act like an asshole and routinely make other people's experiences—or lives—worse. Almost all of the restrictions on how you can use this Mastodon instance are just more-explicit versions of this basic guideline. Treat others with basic civility and try to contribute in good faith.

3. Do not maliciously attempt to counteract other users' attempts to delete or edit their content, such as by deliberately re-posting content they want to be deleted.
