This is a JVM technologies related mastodon server. Our goal is to have a place to talk about our beloved ecosystem.

This is a mastodon server devoted to the JVM (Java) community. As such, it should be useful for developers using that platform and ideally it should be used to talk about our beloved programming language (Java, Kotlin, Scala, Groovy, Clojure... you name it). This is not a fixed rule: you won't be banned from the server if you talk about other topic, but a technical profile is desirable to have a interesting local timeline.

The server is operated by a bunch of volunteers, and it has some cost to keep the infrastructure running, so if you plan to use this server and think it's useful for you, any money contribution is welcome at https://opencollective.com/jvm-social

1. First and most important rules: Don't be excessively annoying. Don't get annoyed too easily
2. We want this to be a harassment-free environment, regardless of gender, gender identity, age, sexual orientation, disability or whatever other personal situation. Sexual language and imagery is not appropriate.
3. This is a JVM related technologies mastodon server. As such, it should be useful for developers using that platform and ideally it should be used to talk about our beloved programming language (Java, Kotlin, Scala, Groovy... you name it).
4. Of course, we can also socialize and talk about other topics, and it's ok. But if you plan to use mastodon ONLY for other topics, there are a lot of better servers for you out there.
