Shakedown Social is a community for live music fans with roots in the jam scene. Fans of bands like Phish, Goose, the Grateful Dead, Billy Strings, King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, Umphrey's McGee, the Disco Biscuits and more all gather here.

Shakedown is run by a team of volunteers (led by @clifff and @sethadam1) and funded by donations. You can help cover the cost of hosting by donating here. All donations go directly to hosting costs.

Mastodon Server Covenant

We are committed to the Mastodon Server Covenant, which includes:

• Active moderation against racism, sexism, homophobia and transphobia.
• Our user data is backed up daily.
• Multiple people have emergency access to the server infrastructure.
• Users will be provided with at least 3 months of advance warning in case of shutting down.

1. Sexually explicit or violent media must be marked as sensitive
2. No racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, or xenophobia will be tolerated
3. No incitement of violence or promotion of violent ideologies
4. No harassment or doxxing of other users
5. Do not share intentionally false or misleading information
6. No holocaust denialism, Nazi symbolism, promotion of National Socialism, or anything that is illegal in the European Union.
7. No fake accounts or celebrity joke accounts. Note that this rule only applies to accounts on shakedown.social.
8. No impersonation of a band, a brand, band members, crew, or management.
