Jxm social Rules

The following guidelines are not a legal document, and final interpretation is up to the administration / moderation team of jxmsocial.xyz; they are here to provide you with an insight into our content moderation policies:

Jxm Social has a 3 level rule policy, level 1 = post removed from public timeline, level 2 = you recving a strike on you account, if you receve 3 strikes your account, your account will be permanently suspendid, level 3 = your account being being immediately permanently suspended:

Level 1 Rules

  1. Advertising, even with a CW (Content Warning)
  2. Post that need to have a CW (Content Warning) on them but don't, see CW's (Content Warnings)

Level 2 Rules

And some more info about strikes, 1st rule violation = a warning from an admin or mod, 2nd rule violation = a message from an admin or mod, your account being disabled for 3 days, and you receving your 1st strike, 3rd rule violation = a message from an admin or mod, your account being disabled for 7 days, and you receving your 2nd strike, 4th rule violation = you receving your 3rd strike, and your account being immediately permanently suspendid

  1. Racism or advocation of racism
  2. Sexism or advocation of sexism
  3. Discrimination based on gender, sexual minority, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion (or lack thereof), or national origin
  4. Sexual depictions of children
  5. Holocaust denialism, Nazi symbolism
  6. Xenophobic
  7. Porn / pornographic content, even with a CW (Content Warning)
  8. Posting of illegal content
  9. Posting of copyrighted work without the copyright holders permission, memes are permitted
  10. Spreading disinformation or conspiracy theories that undermine public health

Level 3 Rules

  1. Sexual depictions of children
  2. Accounts impersonating others. Note this rule does not necessarily apply to remote accounts
  3. Making alt accounts, if we have sufficient evidence suggesting that an account on this server is an alternate for someone who was banned / suspended from this server, then it will be immediately permanently suspended

These provisions notwithstanding, the administration of jxmsocial.xyz reserves the right to revoke any user's access permissions, at any time, for any reason, except as limited by law

"Cross-posting" is the automatic copying of posts from one platform to another. That definition does not include the simultaneous posting to multiple platforms from the same app, such as Twidere or PostyBirb. If you use those apps, we consider those posts original, and the following need not apply.

Cross-posting from Mastodon to other platforms is fully permitted. Cross-posting into Mastodon from another platform is permitted under the following terms:

  1. The posts do not include platform-specific references, e.g. talking about "here" meaning Twitter, or including text from other non-Mastodon users verbatim (e.g. cross-posted quote tweets)

  5. Post containing Spoilers, EX: CW's (Content Warnings), spoiler, Contains spoilers, and name of the content EX: Avatar the last airbender book 1 water - epasode 3
  6. Post talking about Facebook, Instagram, twitter, pinterest, and other social media platforms, post talking about mastodon do not need a CW (Content Warning) unless the post contains content that warrents a CW (Content Warning), EX: FB for facebook, IG for instagram,And Birdsite for twitter.
  7. Post containing an advertisment, the following is conciderd advertising and must have an apropriet CW (Content Warning) on it, sponserd post / the ones someone paid you to make, post talking about a product or serviece you yourself are selling, EX: CW's (Content Warnings), Sponserd, #Sponserd, Sponserd content, Advertising, Paid advertising, Self advertising

Harassment

Any conduct intended to stalk or harass other users, or to impede other users from utilizing the service, or to degrade the performance of the service, or to harass other users, or to incite other users to perform any of the aforementioned actions, is disallowed, and subject to punishment, see Level 2 rules for more info. This includes, but is not limited to, the following behaviors:

  1. Continuing to engage in conversation with a user that has specifically has requested for said engagement with that user to cease and desist may be considered harassment, regardless of platform-specific privacy tools employed
  2. Aggregating, posting, and/or disseminating a person's demographic, personal, or private data without express permission (informally called doxing or dropping dox) may be considered harassment
  3. Inciting users to engage another user in continued interaction or discussion after a user has requested for said engagement with that user to cease and desist (informally called brigading or dogpiling) may be considered harassment
