Glitchy.Social is a small, cozy, multilingual Mastodon instance for geeks, nerds, tech enthusiasts, and their friends.

The server is hosted in Ukraine.

Status

The status of Glitchy.Social services can be checked at uptime.glitchy.social.

Commitment

1. The server administration commits to maintaining daily backups of server data outside of Ukraine.
2. The server administration commits to making every reasonable effort to notify users at least three months in advance in the event of server shutdown.

Rules and Content Guidelines

We value friendly communication and high-quality content, therefore we maintain a set of content rules and guidelines. They are not exhaustive, and their final interpretation is at the discretion of the administration. See a separate "Server rules" section.

The rules may be changed at the administration's discretion. Violations of the rules may result in hiding posts from the global timeline, post deletion, temporary or permanent account suspension.

Reports

In accordance with the Rules, any user may report a post or an account. If you simply dislike certain content or an account, you can always block it for yourself.

How to Contact Us

If you have any questions, you can contact the server owner via Mastodon, Matrix, or by sending an email.

1. You may post in any language.
2. Deliberately changing the language of a post to obscure its context is discouraged.
3. You may post on any topics except those prohibited by these rules and content guidelines.
4. Excessive advertising, spam, and aggressive marketing are prohibited.
5. Automated accounts (bots) must be properly labeled ("This is an automated account" in the profile settings).
6. Violent or offensive content must be marked as "sensitive" when posted.
7. Content duplicated from third-party sources without proper moderation is prohibited.
8. No manifestations of racism, sexism, caste discrimination, xenophobia, or violence based on nationality.
9. No deliberate disinformation, misleading behavior, or fraudulent actions toward other users.
10. No incitement to violent actions or harassment of other users.
11. No justification of international military aggression.
12. No intolerance toward members of sexual minorities.
13. No explicit sexual content.
14. No incitement to behavior prohibited by these rules.
15. Users are prohibited from deliberately degrading or abusing the service.
