   We Will Never Serve You Ads: We believe the Internet should have no advertising surveillance and no secret trackers. We don't conduct tests on users or subject you to dark patterns. You deserve a community without ads, distractions, and clutter.

   We Will Never Spy On You: Your privacy is paramount and our founder is an expert in the field. We will never conduct click-tracking, install spyware, or analyze your speech, behavior, mood, or face. If a software feature could introduce a risk to your privacy, we point it out.

   We Will Never Manipulate Your Timeline: Your feed is displayed chronologically and all content is presented in the order it is posted or fetched from the original source. We do not artificially promote posts or spam your timeline and give you the power to filter your own feeds.

   We Will Never Force AI on You: What you do with Artificial Intelligence is your personal choice. PrivacySafe does not push AI agents on you or require dependencies like OpenAI in our apps. On PrivacySafe Social, you can communicate with no algorithmic interference, no AI moderation or suggestions, and no filter bubble.
   
   

We take active steps to protect your privacy while respecting your autonomy. For example, we opt you out of public search engines and the profile directory by default but empower you to change these settings.

🏡 8 Simple Rules, Honest Moderation, Zero Fees

We advocate for free speech and publish content to PrivacySafe Social from 1,000+ domains across the web and the world. We can't moderate content from these outside sources if it doesn't abide by our rules. However, we can choose not to publish content from specific sources. As a member of the decentralized Mastodon network, we commit to the Mastodon Server Covenant and content will be moderated according to those guidelines.

PrivacySafe Social endorses both the Manila Principles on Intermediary Liability and the Santa Clara Principles on Transparency and Accountability drafted by the Electronic Frontier Foundation and other speech advocacy organizations. We publish our Server Rules on this page, as well as moderation numbers and a list of Moderated Servers with rationale.

As of April 2025:

  1,092 domains can publish content to PrivacySafe Social. This number is approximate as servers go up and down.

  26 domains (2.3% of total) have been suspended due to activity such as spam and repeated NSFW posts.
  
  
• 
  
  14 domains (1.2% of total) have been limited from posting to the public timeline. This prevents our audience of primarily English readers from being inundated with non-Latin characters. Our users can still follow accounts on those domains and share content from them.
  
  
• 
  
  5 users have been suspended for attempted attacks (malicious bot activity, attempted XSS injection, or penetration testing conducted on a live system without permission).
  
  
• 
  
  1 report was filed against a user for suspected spam activity. No moderation action was taken.
