Account policy

This is a small server run by a group of peers. We do not have open registrations. If you happen to know one of us, you may kindly ask for an invite. If you do not know anyone, please choose a different server.

We do not disclose federation bans, as the set of users on this servers is sufficiently small that it may disclose private information about those users.

1. No content condoning or advocating for the oppression of members of marginalised groups, or general discrimination of groups based on characteristics like gender, race, disabilities, nationality, education, religion etc.
2. No harassment, stalking, mobbing, deadnaming, misgendering, contacting users who have made it clear they do not wish to be contacted.
3. Obviously: no content that is illegal in Germany, no actions intended to damage this instance (performance, reputation, security).
4. No right or alt-right bullshit, Nazi content, conspiracy narratives. There is a zero-tolerance policy for Nazis. Why? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paradox_of_tolerance
5. When posting to the local timeline, provide Content Warnings for violence, sexually explicit content, death/disease, and politics, particularly when negative or controversial (those are the larger categories, a CW might be something like “uspol, elections”).
6. NSFW content / Nudity: NSFW is discouraged, but allowed unless it can be considered harassment or the sole point of depiction is the fact that it falls into this category. NSFW tags are required. Porn is never allowed. NSFW content depicting minors is never allowed.
7. When posting to the local timeline, provide image descriptions.
8. Promoting harmful items: It is not allowed to promote potentially harmful items such as weapons, drugs, narcotics, items that can be considered harassment, combustion cars, gambling or high-risk investments, including cryptocurrencies or NFTs.
9. No SLA: At this time, we are not in a position to commit to any SLA. It's a hobby. I cannot make a uptime guarantee.
10. Safety Recommendation: Use a private relay email and a uniquely generated password. I may not always be able to apply the security patches as soon as they're released. Treat any data you submit to this server as potentially public data.
11. Consequences: Failure to comply with this code of conduct may result in immediate suspension at the discretion of the moderator.
12. Unannounced Changes: This code of conduct can be updated at any time without prior notice.
