Our instance motto is simple:

Let’s leave the internet a little better than we found it. And don’t be a jerk.

Specifically, we don’t allow:

• Any form of hate or the advocacy of hate, including but not limited to racism, sexism, misogyny, homophobia, transphobia, xenophobia, nationalism, classism, ableism, and antisemitism.
• Mean-spirited personal attacks, intentional unkindness, or doxxing. That doesn’t mean you have to be polite: in fact, members are encouraged to call out bad behavior. But again, don’t be a jerk.
• Intentional misinformation.
• Pornographic images/videos/etc. (This is for practical reasons: we’re not set up to handle the age verification and moderation burden associated with this kind of content).
• Shilling crypto, gambling, scams, MLMs, etc.
• Passing off someone else’s work as your own or non-comedic impersonation.
• Content that has little-to-no value and is designed purely for engagement (see the reddit self-promotion guidelines for a sense of where to draw this line).

Moderation decisions will be made based on the spirit of these rules, not the letter. Extreme, blatant violations may result in an immediate ban. Most violations will be handled privately, and members will have the option to either remove/modify their post or migrate to another instance. If you are acting in good faith, we’ll do our best to help you migrate seamlessly to another instance that better matches your values without any disruption to your access to the fediverse.
