MudHut Social is a vibrant and inclusive community where everyone is welcome to gather and share their thoughts, ideas, and passions. Our server is built on the idea that a home is a home, no matter what it looks like - and we're proud of our humble, yet loving atmosphere.

Just as a mud hut may not be the fanciest abode, but still provides warmth and shelter to its inhabitants, MudHut Social is a space where you can feel at ease, share your experiences, and connect with others who appreciate your unique perspective.

We're not perfect, and things may go offline or break (because, well, we're a community of humans and servers!) - but our intention is always to be friendly, open-minded, and supportive. You'll find a diverse range of content here, from humor to insights, stories to ideas - all reflecting the beautiful diversity of our members.

Facts for Nerds like me :)

This server is hosted in my Home Lab. It is backed by a Proxmox Ceph cluster, and I try my hardest to prevent outages. Note that I only have a single internet connection, but it is symmetrical 500Mb/s Fiber. This is not a big operation. I am just a dude trying to do the right thing, and host a server rather than taking up space somewhere else. The only way this works is to decentralize the Fediverse.

I also host a Pixelfed and Loops instance, as I would love to see where these go.
