BYTE HEAVEN is tekhedd's place. This means it's a place for games, music, pointing out the irony in self-contradictory things, and tech. And, naturally, cat pictures.

• Sarcasm is encouraged here. If you have difficulty with humor, mute or block to taste.
• If you can't make your point with logic, you might be wrong.
• Kindness is encouraged. If you can't do it nicely, take a break.

There is the usual list of "rules" but the core rule is: be ethical and considerate. None of the "rules" make sense if you can't be aware of context and behave appropriately.

Server population is kept severely limited. But, feel free to ask if you feel like you'd like to land here.

1. No racim, sexim, transphobia, or other celebration of prejudice. It's OK and even normal to have prejudices, but act like a douche and you're out.
2. No Nazi or fascist stuff. Oppressive authoritarian government is bad.
3. Porn. Consensual, legal, non-stolen erotica is OK behind a NSFW or similar tag. No gore. This isn't a porn server, but we're not going to go handing out bans because picture contained a nipple or something kinky turns up in "Federated." Because of this, grown-ups only on this server pls.
4. No paedo shit. Note that this completely covered under "no unethical or illegal" etc etc but repeated here because zero tolerance.
5. If you can't make your point with logic, step off. Sure, we all rant sometimes, but shouting at someone is almost never the answer.
6. Behave ethically. If this doesn't appeal to you, you don't belong here. Scams and harassment, for example, are unethical. Most of the other rules are just examples of this one, expanded as individual rules so that simpleminded fediblock users from other sites won't block us out of hand.
7. Don't do illegal stuff, even if your cause is righteous. This makes the moderators and other users accessories unless/until they rat you out. It is impolite to incriminate your friends.
8. Did you at least look at the rules? If you're a complete stranger, maybe you should say "I looked at the rules" in the box where it asks why you want an account. :D We're not likely to approve you if you're a rando in a country known for stealing money from old people.
