This server is not in critical need of funding but you can buy me a coffee, I guess.

Reporting and moderation

When reporting accounts, please make sure to include at least a few posts that show rule-breaking behavior, when applicable. If there is any additional context that might help make a decision, please also include it in the comment. This is especially important when the content is in a language nobody on the moderation team speaks.

We usually handle reports within 24 hours. Please mind that you are not notified when a report you have made has led to a punitive action, and that not all punitive actions are externally visible. For first time offenses, we may opt to delete offending content, escalating to harsher measures on repeat offenses.

Please understand I have no interest in suppressing free speech. I also have no interest in hosting a platform for violence, hate or illegal content. If you don't like the rules please choose a different Mastodon server.

Retention

The current remote retention settings will only keep posts for 1 calendar year. All posts from other servers (including boosts and replies) will be deleted without regard to any local user interaction with those posts. This includes posts where a local user has marked it as bookmarks or favorites. Private mentions between users from different instances will also be lost and impossible to restore. Until better content cleanup tools are provided by the Mastodon team, this is necessary for resource constraints.
