Our stance on Big Tech

We firmly believe that Big Tech is a threat to the Fediverse and that all appropriate measures should be taken. These Big Tech platforms lack moderation, are hostile towards minorities and their dildo-rocket-launching CEOs have shown a complete disregard of respect towards others.

We currently have suspended:

• Bluesky
• Flipboard
• Meta (Threads and the likes)
• Tumblr

We will not unblock these platforms. Furthermore, this list is not definitive, as we might add other Big Tech platforms.

Our stack

Exquisite.social is powered by Mastodon Glitch Edition. It runs on an OpenBSD server, straight out of DC1, Amsterdam. There isn't any cloud involved - because of a fear of heights.

Donations

We do accept donations, at the moment only through bunq. A better setup is in the works.

1. Be respectful, friendly and supportive towards others and different opinions. Act in good faith and refrain from malice.
2. Be your lovely and genuine self. Impersonation is not allowed.
3. You are encouraged to caption media (images, audio and video) with alt-text.
4. Please use CW's generiously., especially for possiblly controversial content.
5. Respect the boundaries of others, both explicit and implicit.
6. Strictly forbidden: hatespeech, discrimination, harassment, spamming, dogpiling, stalking, facism, racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, doxxing, harmful content and violence. Violating this rule will get you permanently banned (and possibly yeeted into outer space).
7. You and you alone are responsible for your account.
8. Also strictly prohibited is misinformstion (eg: anti-vaxx, WHO conspiracies, 5G being used for mindcontrol, anti-GrapheneOS shilling). This will also get you permanently banned and at risk of being yeeted into space.
9. We do not allow AI-powered content under any circumstance. Whether that is LLMs, GenAI. There are no exceptions to this rule.
