🍁 CoSocial is a non-profit cooperative providing open social media for Canada.

Everyone who uses our services is a member of the cooperative with a say in how we are run. They can vote at member meetings, elect directors to the board, and join working groups. Our annual dues support the operation of our services.

Want to join us? Please go to join.cosocial.ca to review our membership requirements and join. We charge annual member fees ranging from $50 to $250 for both individuals and organizations.

We host the following services for our members:

• Castopod (podcasts.cosocial.ca)
• Phanpy (phanpy.cosocial.ca) (log-in with Cosocial Mastodon account)

🎒 Collaboration tools

We use our Members Discourse (members.cosocial.ca) to coordinate and provide collaboration tools for our members, including:

• Hedgedoc (pad.cosocial.info)
• Vikunja (tasks.cosocial.info)

Code of Conduct

CoSocial is dedicated to providing a positive, welcoming, and inclusive experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, age, race, Indigenous status, linguistic and cultural background, or religion. We do not tolerate harassment in any form.

The team

CoSocial is maintained by our team including the board and working groups, who do the work of running CoSocial. Our current board is announced on our website and members can view working group members.

2. Do not harass, dogpile, or dox users on this server or other servers
3. No racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, xenophobia, casteism, fatphobia, or other forms of bigotry
4. NSFW content and depictions of violence must be behind a content warning.
5. Do not share intentionally false or misleading information.
6. CoSocial.ca is a service for the members of the CoSocial Community Cooperative.
7. CoSocial is for Canadian residents.
8. CoSocial is for people 18 and over.
9. Business accounts are allowed, but don't spam or engage in excessive commercial posting.
