FashionSocial.host is an open, inclusive Mastodon instance for the fashion and luxury community. Targeted to fashion pros and aficionados alike, this group is devoted to exploring, discussing, and supporting the art and business of fashion in its many forms and guises.

Rights Regarding Content on FashionSocial.host User-submitted content, including profile information, avatars, uploaded media, posted content, replies and any other information submitted to FashionSocial.host remain the property of the user who submits it (provided they owned it to begin with). FashionSocial.host members and staff do not monetize or sell material posted here. As much as is legally possible given the nature of this service, it is the policy of FashionSocial.host that users retain complete creative and legal control of their own submitted material.

Bots and Cross-Posters FashionSocial.host does not allow bots. We recommend that you put your bot on another instance.

Repeaters of RSS feeds or cross-posters from Twitter or other services are allowed, but discouraged. If you use them, we prefer that you post to Fashion Social with the privacy setting set as Unlisted, so that your posts do not appear on the local timeline.

Longevity Pledge FashionSocial.host is committed to providing long-term service to the fashion and luxury community, and has no plans to shut down.

In the case that the current site owner is unable to continue to maintain FashionSocial.host, they will make a good-faith effort to recruit a volunteer to provide services to the users of FashionSocial.host on the same terms as they are currently offered (i.e. FashionSocial.host will never be sold to a large media company for them to monetize its content.)

In the case that no such volunteer can be found, users of FashionSocial.host will be given an advance warning at least one year before the site is closed.

In Case of Downtime or Data Loss While we strive to provide continuous service and avoid errors and data loss, FashionSocial.host provides no guarantees regarding uptime and cannot be held responsible in the case that account data is lost or corrupted. It is recommended that you export your own data archive periodically. Backing up your account is your own responsibility. Users whose accounts are suspended for breaking our Terms and Conditions will not be given an opportunity to download a copy of their archive.

1. Tolerance - Hate speech, abusive language, or racist, sexist, or otherwise discriminatory rhetoric will not be tolerated.
2. Openness - This server is focused on open, inclusive dialogue and community for fashion, luxury, and retail.
3. Authenticity - Be yourself and try not to be marketing or sales centric.
