What we do

Akiba Party was originally started as a mastodon instance for twitter refugees, in particular the cosplay, anime art and arcade game community. We aren't happy with how negligently the platform is being run, and recognize this is inevitable on other commercialized platforms like tumblr, cohost, hive etc.

We're currently looking to expand into hosting in-person meetups and pop-ups, you can keep an eye out for them on our events board, as well as our official announcements account

1. Respect boundaries, especially around parasocial interaction. Do not make creepy or uncomfortable comments. Do not orbit around creators irl unless they are explicitly comfortable with it, ie at meet and greets.
