What will you find here?

We make and post lots of silly images, nonsense animations, more silly images, a few nice photos, and some general wittering from those within house eclectech. Also contains occasional moans about UK politics and tech geekery.

This is a small server and isn't open to registrations

What isn't acceptable here?

The things.uk server rules can be summarised as Be Nice and Be Kind.

• No racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia or xenophobia.
• No incitement of violence or promotion of violent ideologies.
• No harassment, dogpiling or doxxing of anyone.
• Do not share intentionally false or misleading information. If you do so accidentally then correct it as soon as possible.
• No content illegal in the UK.

Tech stuff

Running on an IPv6 only Raspberry PI at Mythic Beasts (@beasts). Currently testing a customised DNS server which rewrites query responses to improve real world connectivity.

The moderated server list is private - we have few users, so it is more like a personal list. In general we block any instance that doesn't fit with the server rules.
