Welcome to thegem.city! This Mastodon server supports the interests and communication of residents of the greater Dayton, Ohio region.
We subscribe to the goals defined in the Mastodon Server Covenant.
We regularly update our federation blocklist with the Unified Tier 0 file, which is further explained on the Oliphant site. Please see the "Moderated servers" on this About page.
Do I need to live in Dayton, OH to have an account?
No, but we do ask that you have some sort of connection to the area to use this instance. Anyone in the Dayton and surrounding metropolitan areas are welcome.
Registration is open, but new accounts must provide a brief example of their connection to Dayton. Existing users may invite others which bypasses that requirement.
