While not an official Kubernetes server, we still strive to maintain the same high standards of conduct within our community.

The Kubernetes Community Code of Conduct applies to all interactions on this server.

Please report any and all violations of the code of conduct. Breaches of the CoC will result in an account ban.

Open Source Project and Corporate accounts are welcome on k8s.social, providing they follow the following additional rules:

• The work must be strongly related to Kubernetes
• The name of the account must match the official name of the project or company
• The profile must include a verified link for the official website of the project or company

Note: 🤖 Bot accounts aren't generally accepted on this instance but some exceptions are granted.

Handling Illegal Content

This section covers how the moderation team of k8s.social handles content considered illegal in various juristictions. It is heavily based on https://phpc.social/about.

The moderation team treats illegal content with the utmost gravity. When made aware of the presence of illegal content, through Mastodon's reporting features, or third party app reporting features, or through direct contact to our admin account, @Announcement@k8s.social, we will take this down at the earliest opportunity.

The k8s.social Mastodon instance does not use proactive technology to detect illegal content.

We include specific provisions for the following types of content.

Terrorism Content

The type of content defined under Online Safety Act 2023, Schedule 5 will be taken down immediately, and will result in immediate and permanent revocation of access to the service. Where possible, the offending account will also be reported to law enforcement.

CSEA Content

The type of content defined under Online Safety Act 2023, Schedule 6 will be taken down immediately, and will result in immediate and permanent revocation of access to the service. Where possible, the offending account will also be reported to law enforcement.

Priority Illegal Content

The type of content defined under Online Safety Act 2023, Schedule 7 will be taken down immediately, and will result in immediate and permanent revocation of access to the service. Where possible, the offending account will also be reported to law enforcement.

Complaints and Appeals

Complaints about content are best reported through Mastodon's reporting features, be that on the web site or through third party applications. This creates an audit trail.

The decision made by the moderators is final. It is a privilege to use this service, and not a right.

Reporting Harassment

To report harassment, click the three vertical dots (⋮) on a user's profile and select "Report @user." For urgent concerns, you may contact us at admin@k8s.social.

2. No personal attacks, direct or indirect
3. No trolling or insulting/derogatory comments
4. No public or private harassment of any kind
5. No publishing of other's private information, such as physical or electronic addresses, without explicit permission
6. No other unethical or unprofessional conduct
7. No bots. Use botsin.space for those.
8. Primary language of posts must be English.
9. No spam accounts or accounts solely for the purpose of selling a product or service
10. All users must be aged 18+
11. No illegal content as considered by the United Kingdom or your own country of residence
